The Central Coast Brass Festival Entertainment
Challenge is an event of quality brass education, music, and entertainment, organised and hosted by the Gosford City Brass
Band. First held in 2004, the original concept of this event was to spread awareness of brass banding and brass music to the
Central Coast community. Since then, this annual event has found it's home at Mingara Recreation Centre, and has grown quite considerably in size, quality, entertainment, and popularity.
The scale and magnitude of the Entertainment
Challenge has risen to the point of several competing bands entering the contest, all of whom take it very seriously, and
strongly desire to win it. As was quoted by Jonathan Gatt, musical director of Parramatta City Brass (May 2010 winners): "winning
first in this contest is even better than coming third in the National Championships this year".
2012 Central Coast Brass Festival
will be held on Sunday 26th February
The
Entertainment Challenge is open to all Brass Bands of
any level, and the entry fee is only $50.
